Purpose of meeting
Discuss goals and objectives for technology at the School

and Carolynn Chase
After discussion, the committee unanimously approved the following goals and objectives. Carolyn Wittman is using these as part of an important grant.
Goal 1: A computer resource teacher will provide information and
training to staff.
Objectives #1: Hire computer resource teacher by 2/15/03 (part time position, 20 hours per month)
Objective #2: Set up technology resource center where instructors can access lessons, site info, CD's, software info, videos by 4/30/02.
Goal 2: ESL Instructors will learn to use
software installed in labs.
Objective #1: At least 10 instructors will complete a 2-hr. workshop on Rosetta Stone by 3/28/03.
Objective #2: At least 5 instructors will receive tutoring on ESL-related sofware of their choice by 4/30/03.
Goal 3: Update hardware in Rooms
22, 23, and 27.
Objective #1: Install 10-12 computers in Room 27 by 4/30/03.
Objective #2: Install at least 1 computers in Room 22 by 4/30/03.
Objective #3: Install at least 1 computers in Room 23 by 4/30/03.
Goal 4: ESL Instructors will learn to integrate technology into
instruction.
Objective #1: At least 10 instructors will attend an on-site workshop on integrating technology into instruction by 4/30/03.
Objective #2: At least 5 instructors will attend training of their choice on integrating technology into instruction by
4/30/03.
Goal 5: All ESL/ABE/GED classrooms at Middlefield Center will have TV
monitors and VCR's.
Objective #1: Install monitors and VCR's in Rooms 3,5,22,23,25,26,and 27 by 4/30/03.
Objective #2: Purchase 20 new videos for resource library. by 4/30/03.
Goal 6: Provide multimedia projectors for computer labs.
Objective #1: Purchase two multimedia projectors by 4/30/03.
Objective #2: Provide training on use of projectors by 5/30/03.
